I haven't noticed any behavioral changes, but found this lump accompanied by what seems like a "pimple" on the skin of my 4 year old guinea female. I don't want to panic too much and need to get to the vet, but has anyone seen this before? I can't seem to find any matches online.
It looks to me like a small benign cyst -- maybe a seborrheic keratosis or, less likely, a trichofolliculoma. Is it completely on the skin, or is there a lump underneath?
Then I'd take in for a vet visit. Be sure to see an exotic vet -- small animal vets treat dogs and cats, not pocket pets, and some of them are downright dangerous.
