Has anyone seen this before? Very little hair.

My sister's guinea pig got pregnant by it's brother (was supposed to be sister).
2 babies were born yesterday. This one was born with very little hair. Has little bits all over body. Feels rough.
Could this be a result of inbreeding?
Is there anything we should do differently to care for this one?
Both parents are fully furred.
Any help is appreciated

Looks like somehow, skinny pig genes got mixed in there.

Please tell me you have already separated the parents and are keeping the babies with mom for now.

Skinny pigs DO need to be kept a little warmer than furred guinea pigs. A nice warm place for him/her to cozy in should be fine.

Yes the boy was moved to a separate cage as soon as it was realized he was a boy and the 2 girls were pregnant. They were all supposed to be girls.

Please make sure they are in a large enough cage for moms & babies. Size recommendations based on amount of pigs you have now can be found on this site or post here and we can help. If they are housed in a pet shop cage or too small of an enclosure the little ones will risk getting their ears chewed off because mom needs more room. If you don't have one already, a C& C cage can be made quickly and cheaply.

Make sure you babyproof the cage as well so there are no injuries to the babies.

Also, make sure you again separate little boys from mom & girls at 21 days old...no playtime and no cage visits because they seem lonely after that time because you will end up with more pregnant pigs.

If you need help identifying genders (it can be a little difficult when they are young) post well lit pictures when they get close to that 21 day mark and forum members can assist.
