Herbs Safe herbs (and essential oils) for deterring pests

Hi there!
I am wondering as this is my first summer with guinea pigs - Are there are herbs and/or essential oils that are harmful to guinea pigs?
I generally have some herbs and plants growing outside that are 'supposed' to help keep pests away, along with spraying around my house with an essential oil mix of peppermint, lavender, citronella. Before I go and try to get rid of unwanted pests - Are there any known plants and/or essential oils that are harmful if near or sprayed near my guinea pigs?

Thanks @bpatters Is it safe to guess the essential oils I use in the house -which I mix and dilute- will not harm them, being the types I use are not listed on the poisonous plants list. (I generally spritz around the house, and then hit the doorways and window areas the most)

Well, I'm not a fan of essential oils, so I wouldn't want to hazard a guess as to whether or not they're safe.
