The vet should be able to confirm a pregnancy with an ultrasound.

Very strange, I was coming online to post a question similar, mine won't eat her bell pepper anymore either! She won't get off of the water bottle or Timothy hay. I just found out that her litter mate is pregnant and HUGE in the belly, but my girl isn't as large.

Just a question, is it possible to visibly see the babies moving around? without your fingers touching? I think it would be kinda disgusting, but really cool at the same time to see it..

I've been able to see it on one of my other girls when she was laying over on her side, she had two babies and I would just sit and watch them move around in her belly.

She's eating a good amount of pellets and veggies now. Now I'll just be waiting around for babies. Will the infant simethicone I gave her hurt the babies?

Emily is very much pregnant the babies are moving a lot and she's starting to sleep a lot. I really hope that labor and delivery goes smoothly for her and babies!

I wish you the best of luck with the pregnancy!
Is she your only piggy? Hopefully if she has a little girl, you can keep her as a friend :) I'm very excited to see baby photos!

When my girl was pregnant (she was adopted pregnant), I was never able to see the pups move... I was actually very disappointed by that, I was looking forward to it! I felt them moving a ton, though!

She is actually pig (broken link removed) however she just wasn't being accepted by my girls so I myself am hoping she has a girl.. Or two :) I've felt at least two babies and I'm getting anxious for the arrival and since I don't know what the dad looks like I can't wait to see how they look!

Wowza! Piggy 13... and she came along with some extra packages ;)

LOL that's how I look at my girl's pups. I paid the adoption fee for two (mamma + auntie), but ended up with six!
Seeing the babies is the best part. I have no idea what their papa looks like, but all four of the little ones look -so- different from one another.
There is;
-white and light brown, with a dark brown patch, crested
-black, with a light brown tummy, light brown around the eyes (seriously perfect circles, she looks like she's wearing glasses!), brown ear tips
-all grey
-white and grey, crested
So a little rainbow of piggies :) Their mama is all brown, with just one single white paw. All throughout her pregnancy I would wonder what they would look like, so finally seeing them for the first time was absolutely amazing.

I was nervous too, I was so afraid that something would go wrong :/ But just try not to think about it, because it won't help any. And once the babies are born (practically) all the worry goes away, because guinea pigs make such great mamas. I was still on edge for a couple of weeks because my runt was -very- small. She was born 51 grams, and dropped to 48 at one point! But on Saturday she'll be 8 weeks old, and she's still going strong :) All of her siblings are happy and healthy as well, as is mama.

I just can't wait for the babies to be here already! What I don't get is that I've had her for well 2(?) days over 7 weeks now and it's hard to understand how she got pregnant so soon before I got her because I was told "they didn't have time for her anymore" I'm just glad she's with me and I know how to care for her and babies and that she wasn't somewhere where they don't know.

The exact thing happened when I adopted my girls... my Emma must have gotten pregnant right before I adopted her. The rescue got a bunch of piggies from a livestock sale, but all the males and females were delivered to the rescue in one big box. The rescue didn't put the girls on pregnancy watch -.-, and I was only told that the males and females were delivered together *after* I contacted them about the pregnancy. I just hope that others weren't surprised with pregnancy too. I'm glad that I ended up getting a pregnant female, though, because at least I know her babies are well cared for (and will be forever, as I've screened extremely carefully).

Seeing them for the first time is definitely the best part of it all :) And seeing them use the water bottle for the first time is also really 'squee! worthy' lol
This was my litters first baby photo - so, so tiny, as that isn't even a very large snuggle-sac lol;

Oh sorry, didn't see your other question! No, I'm not keeping any permanently actually. The three girls are going to their new home on Saturday, and I'm still screening applicants for the little boy... nothing right has come up for him, yet. But he has a home here until that perfect someone does come along :)

Awe. What a variety of color they are so cute I wouldn't be able to give them up! I hope the girls will be happy in their new home :)

Also,
UPDATE: No babies ugh so frustrating were going on 8 weeks since I've had her so we've still got roughly two-ish weeks.

Its crazy how quickly it all happened to my girl. One day I didn't suspect a thing and the next I was sitting there wondering why her stomach was so big.
