Hello!
As I promised, I got Hammi a friend.
Hammi is 6~months old and his new friend (No name yet, I'll just call him piggy for now) is 3 months. Both male.
I don't really think there is a dominance issue just Hammi showing so much affection to the new piggy. I think it's adorable but piggy finds it irritating and will nip. That doesn't bother Hammi since he still purrs loudly :tearsofjo Hammi does occasionally mount him but there's no size difference so it's okay. I don't want to stop Hammi from being so lovely but I think it's best for the new piggy, I'll kindly accept any advice.
They live in a 2x4 + old 3 lvl pet store cage, plenty of space to run away from Hammi's affection.
3 water bottles and I'll adding 2 more food bowl inside. Timothy hay is in all corners of the cage.
The cage is covered with removable fly wire mesh and metal sheet to keep them cool. I did also promise to upload some photos so here:
This is Hammi! As you can see he has abnormally long back hair... I trimmed it to avoid fecal matter and urine to cling to his back. Did a decent job...he.he.
That "cage lid" you see lying on the floor is actually covered up (shown as above) it just happened to be open when I took this pic.
This is "piggy" (will consider new names! haha) unfortunately I can't spin the image around :guilty:
I'll accept criticism for the cage but no hate please. Piggy was adopted from a local, has not been handled at birth and is has no fears; he jumps out of your hand, climbs bars, etc. Scary.
