@wombats thanks! :) I used to have them in a 2x4, but decided I had to expand. This was mainly because whenever they ran laps in the 2x4, they didn’t really have the space to turn around at each end, and were always crashing into their houses and the ends of the cage. Also, there just didn’t seem to be enough room for all of them in the 2x4; they were constantly rumbling at each other. Now, however, they run laps round the whole length of the cage (often at about 5 am), and have space to turn the corners at the end.

I needed something bigger than a 1x2 loft (which is what I had before) because there was always a lot of angry squeaking when they decided they wanted hay (when one goes up to eat hay, the other 2 both have to eat hay as well, according to their guinea pig logic :))

Thanks! I think that green and blue liner is the better fitting of the 2 I have made (my purple one is a bit long so there are lots of crinkles up the sides).

I have some fleece to make cozies with too, I just haven’t got around to it yet (who doesn’t love homework :(). I made an instruction thingy a while ago though: https://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/threads/107164-How-to-make-a-cozy-sack-with-boning

Hay, would love to see?!
Thanks - I lot of thought as gone into it!
We used a marine silicon (non toxi to pets) and then to double up my husband drilled a few screws in. Hopefully going to make some bunting to go round it soon.

I just joined but have been reading all the great post on here to help me decide on how to build my cage and to take care of my piggies. I just built this cage in July because I wanted them in a bigger cage than the store bought one we originally had. Poka dot and Rose are so much happier and use the ramp for the kitchen just fine. Just wanted to share my cage.

Here is Mooshii's cage! It's not a C & C because the space I have is more square than rectangle so it was easier to build with the closet shelves. The cage is 36" x 48" (interior is 35" x 47")

Here is my latest set up for my wood and coroplast cage. My favorite part is the new piggy tents I made! I used 2 grids, a small piece of coroplast, zip ties, and leftover suedecloth and fleece. The fleece covers just tie on to the grids, so I can easily take them off to wash. I also made a spare set of tent covers that match the other liner for my cage. I love it when everything matches in a cage!

Here is our 2x4 c&c cage for Brownie and Snickers, our young g-pigs.I'm not to happy with the fit of my first liner, but I will be making them more very soon. They will soon out grow the 2 white plastic hidies at the end of their cage. Hopefully,in the near future I will have time to sew something for them. I think I'm going to have hubby bend another tunnel out of grid for me. Snickers isn't sharing it well. ;)

Cookie and Oreo's 2x4 C&C cage. My girls were enjoying some bell pepper (their favorite!) in this photo. :) *nom nom*

I created a dangling fleece "hidey" that they love popcorning in and out off. This morning I actually added some additional fleece "vines" on the back, creating a perfect little square.

This was before I added the additional fleece walls.

Just put my boys new cage together today. I hand stitched all the fleece hides and the cuddle cup. It's a bit simple but I'm proud of it.
With everything in it...

Have you looked into the GuineaPigCageStore.com? I know a lot of people make their cages, but I purchased mine directly from that website. Maybe it's possible to get one shipped internationally?
