@wombats thanks! I used to have them in a 2x4, but decided I had to expand. This was mainly because whenever they ran laps in the 2x4, they didn’t really have the space to turn around at each end, and were always crashing into their houses and the ends of the cage. Also, there just didn’t seem to be enough room for all of them in the 2x4; they were constantly rumbling at each other. Now, however, they run laps round the whole length of the cage (often at about 5 am), and have space to turn the corners at the end.
I needed something bigger than a 1x2 loft (which is what I had before) because there was always a lot of angry squeaking when they decided they wanted hay (when one goes up to eat hay, the other 2 both have to eat hay as well, according to their guinea pig logic )
Thanks! I think that green and blue liner is the better fitting of the 2 I have made (my purple one is a bit long so there are lots of crinkles up the sides).
I have some fleece to make cozies with too, I just haven’t got around to it yet (who doesn’t love homework ). I made an instruction thingy a while ago though: https://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/threads/107164-How-to-make-a-cozy-sack-with-boning
