Carefresh Is Carefresh Shavings Plus safe?

Hi all,

There's a super good deal on Carefresh Shavings Plus at Foster and Smiths right now - was wondering if this is safe for guinea pigs? I know that soft shavings can be unsafe - has anyone used this before?

As long as the shavings are kiln-dried and don't have a strong smell, they should be safe. I don't know how well it works as bedding though.

Looks like it is kiln-dried! 5 bucks for 60 liters is a great deal so I'll give it a shot.
