Introducing My Piggies!

First off is Oliver, I believe he is a Peruvian mix at about 5 months old. He is shy, but such a sweetheart. He is the dominant piggy out of the pair.

Next is Pip, he is an Abyssinian around 4 1/2 months old. He loves his chin scratched, and he loves his roommate Oliver.

Then on to the girls, this is Persephone. She is an Abyssinian about 3 months old, she is very outgoing and likes to "mistake" fingers for carrots.
Lastly is her sister Nyx, I will have to reply to this post with her picture, there is no more room for anymore files.
Anyway, I would love to see your piggies also!

AWww there all so cute is Pip neutered because in the first photo of Nyx i think he is there or is that Persephone? anyway they are soo cute i have a boar that has the exact same colouring as nyx :3 he is called moo because he looks like a cow :3 but he has more shorter teddy like fur

I saw a mineral wheel in the 1st picture. Make sure you remove those. The mineral and salt wheels do more harm than good to guinea pigs.

This is Nala. She is an American Shorthair. She is the most personable of the girls but she doesn't like getting picked up. Once she is in you hands, she snuggles like no body's business.


This is Pumpkin. Pumpkin is an Abyssinian and she is the most shy of the girls. She doesn't like getting picked up or held by some people. When I hold her, she gives me kisses all of the time!

Welcome to the forum! Your piggies are adorable. I had to comment because I never thought I'd meet someone else who named their piggie Persephone. I used p names and my family thought I was crazy to use that name. Anyway, way cool that our piggies have the same (very unusual) name!

@YourSoJelly your pigs appear to be on ceder shavings. I highly advise against housing them on ceder shavings and getting them on aspen or pine shavings.

@MrWhistles is correct. @YourSoJelly, cedar shavings put off aeromatic oils that can cause respiratory problems which can be fatal for pigs.
