Hello all, I have three small male guineapigs belonging to my children, I have noticed today a little black spot, I’m hoping it’s a skin tag! Could I please get your thoughts on it? Thank x

Where at on the body? Could be a nipple. Boys and girls have them.

In looking at the pic you show, my first thought was that it is a nipple. Cavies have two nipples, one on each side of the lower abdomen.........and, yes, both boars and sows have them. But, that pic doesn't look as though it is the abdomen.

Can you describe/show where the "skin tag" is located, and perhaps get an up-close and clear pic of the lesion?

Check out guinealynx.com which is a wonderful healthcare site for accurate information.

If it is a nipple you may have not noticed it before since they can change colours with age.
