Aggression Guinea pig HATES me

In November of last year, I got my first guinea pig named chip. Although I give him everything a guinea pig could want, he for some reason HATES me. Whenever I take him out of his cage to play and socialize, he yawns to show his teeth, bumps my hand when I pet him, puffs up the hair on his neck, pees everywhere (possibly to show dominance or something?), makes irritated noises, shakes, etc. I love chip and I have never done anything to hurt him, and it's upsetting he hates me. Does anyone know how I can win his love or get him to stop hating me? Help!

He doesn't hate you. He's being a normal guinea pig, and you'll have to accept him as he is. Feeding him yummy treats when he's on your lap will help, as will partially covering him with a light cloth so that he feel safer.

When I read this I thought you were going to say he was attacking you but it just sounds like he is bored. I never own a boar but he just seems like those cats that lounge around. It also sounds like you could make him a perfect lap piggie!

maybe get him a cage mate, they are happier with company of one of their own

Yes, guinea pigs are much happier, healthier, tamer and more confident around people when they have a buddy or 2 living with them.
