My Blue and Gold Macaw used to regurgitate(sp?) to me almost every time he was on my shoulder. Male's will regurgitate to females when they are bonded. I believe it is also a mating gesture.

I had to laugh at that! I almost got my nose pierced by a grumpy Max one morning too. I love kissing his cheek and most times he puts up with the torture! This one morning I guess he woke up on the wrong side of the pigloo because he saw me coming in for a smooch and almost got my nose! Thank god he missed and just grazed me with his teeth! I thinks sometimes we forget the potential damage our pets can inflict should they so choose!

My sister's blue and gold macaw hates me. When he sees me, he starts running back and forth across the top of this cage, and the wings start flapping. he gets real agitated. If I don't get out of his sight, he will land on my shoulder and peck my head with his beak. I'm not giving him a kiss!:crazy:
