i am getting a guinea pig (she wont be lonely by herself because i have many other animals (Small animals) in my room that will keep her company and i spend all the time i can in my room with my pets~)
So. I'm looking up a cage to get for her for a decent price. But i'm not sure if the cage will be big enough for a guinea pig.

Cage 1: Prevue Hendryx Small Animal Deep Tub Cage - 24x14x16: Small Animals : Walmart.com (wasn't sure if this was a hamster cage or not)
Cage 2: YML Small Animal Cage in Brown: Small Animals : Walmart.com
Cage 3: Ware Mfg Chew-Proof 30'' Guinea Pig Cage: Small Animals : Walmart.com
Cage 4: Ware Mfg Home Sweet Home 24'' Small Animal Cage: Small Animals : Walmart.com

I need the cheapest cage I can get~

All of those cages are too small. You can build a coroplast and grid cage for about $25 to $30 if you can find a good source for coroplast and grids.

but i know the last 2 are rabbit cages...
And it's for 1 guinea pig to sleep in when i'm not playing with her which i'm getting a play pen as well.

Also, just another thing to add.
You MUST get her a friend. No matter how many other animals in the room you have, they don't speak the guinea pigs language. Guinea pigs are vocal animals, and need animals of their own kind. Otherwise she just won't thrive.
Those cages are too small by the way. Make a c and c (cube and coroplast) cage that 2 x 5 or more.
Hope this helps :)

Those cages just aren't big enough. Saying they are meant for rabbits doesn't mean jack, can you imagine sticking a rabbit in that thing? It's practically abuse.. It would be like making a human live in a closet. Look at the main page (not the forum, the main page of the site) for proper cage sizes.

yeah but i can't i can't afford a second guinea pig yet though. they are about $30-$40 to adopt just one even more expensive to get them from shelters.

Since money is such a big sticking point for you I have to ask. What are you going to do if it gets sick? Do you have a vet fund? Do you have enough money for good quality food, hay and veggies?

do you mind not being so rude. i'm 13.
This will be my first guinea pig.

I'm sorry if you thought that was rude, it wasn't meant to be. But as pinky already told you they just aren't big enough.

OK!
None of you are being helpful anymore. You've all become rude and not caring at all about the fact i am a child and i have to earn the money to get the supplies on my OWN.
If my guinea pig gets sick (which none of my pets ever have gotten sick) my mom has found a vet near by that can assist me and my piggy. And it'll be free because my mom and dad are friends with the vet. Unless the pet needs surgary it's going to be free for check-ups and cheaper meds if my piggy will need them
Even though that has NOTHING to do with my question at ALL.

ok how do i lock this thread?
All of you went 100% off topic and most of you are not taking in the fact I am a CHILD
My mother said she would buy me ONE guinea pig.
And if it got sick she would pay for medical bills.

In all honeslty, I'm 14 and I got my first two boys (Who are at the vets right now) when I was 12. I pay for nearly everything of theirs (apart from the water!).
You could get a small job, sewing things, cooking or painting or anything really.

IF you can not afford $30-$40, then I hope you have at least $1000 put away for if your pig gets sick. The fireworks upset my three boys so badly that they are at the vets, It's costing me around $800 - $1200 for all of them, It depends what the vets have to do for the end price.

Keeping a guinea pig by their-self (unless they can not live with another one, even then they should be caged besides one) is selfish. The reason you have not/can not get more then one is your decision, your choice not the pigs. I'm sorry, but if you do not have enough money for a big enough cage, a buddy or for the vets then you should not have a guinea pig. Age does matter, but it is NOT an excuse.

I'm sorry if I'm sounding rude, but in all honesty, You are this pigs life line. If you can not give her everything she needs then It might be a good idea to start thinking about giving to someone who can.

A mod has to lock the topic,
We are telling you this, because
A.) You have to get 2, as she will be lonely and it will affect her quality of life
B.) Those cages are far too small.

Can you convince her to adopt two? A lone guinea pig will get lonely and will be very sad.

All the cage you've listed are too small.
This one is an okay size and not expensive. You can house two pigs in this cage.

@lissie: I always forget about midwest. That thing is on an amazing sale!

One thing to note though is that some people have found these cages hard to clean because of the material the bottom is made of.

The cage link lissie gave you, is less expenisve than some of the ones you looked at! I honestly think that you should go with the one lissie linked to you :) Its big, and perfect for two.

I'm probably being a bit thick.... (Sorry!)
Do you mean $30-$40 to buy? Or where are you adopting from?
I thought that you adopt from rescues and shelters and that you buy from breeders/pet shops (Which is never a option)?

If you are planning on getting them from a pet shop or breeder, they may be cheaper then getting them for a rescue or shelter but you are more then likely to buy a sick, pregnant or mis-sexed pig.
If you need any help finding a shelter, rescue or someone who doesn't want their pigs any more we are more then willing to help you find one.

ok
