Hello everyone, my 4 year old guinea pig have a wet patch on his face, tried to wash it off but it did not wprk. I later discovered that it could be wet tail, he is still eating and I noticed a little of weight loss. Any suggestions? Thanks

No...should I take him to the vet?Guinea pigs do not get wet tail, thats only in hamsters. What other symptoms does he have? Runny nose, scratching, whining when he urinates, coughing or sneezing, limping, any of these?
No swell, just the wet spot. Gave him a bath, the spot is still there...Are you sure he didn't just bump his face against his water bottle?
Is there any swelling/redness/break in the skin underneath the spot?
