Blankets Water Proof Quilt :D

I just wanted to share my latest creation for the almighty spoiled little fur babies; a water proof quilt!

Izzy boo enjoyed a nice snooze on it last night curled up in my arms. I made it nice and big (40x40 +) so that I could curl up under it with a pig on me, no fear of being peed on!

Anyways, here it is.

I used this vinyl plastic stuff in between the layers. It sounds kind wierd, but I have other lap pads from may that have help up through being washed and dried every week, so it works pretty well

Ive been wanting to do something similar with a "neat sheet" inside, but those things are expensive! Anyway, great job!

Nice job! I love the pattern! Let me know if you make them to sell. I may be interested. I would try it myself.... but I only know that very basics of sewing. NOTHING ABOUT QUILTING! You are very talented!

I love the fabrics, I used the same ones about a year ago to make a quilt for my cousin's new baby! I'd show you a picture but I don't have a scanner at this house. hmy:

What a great idea! You should get little labels made with your name that you can sew into them. You should come up with a cute, creative name for them.

That is genius!

I always use a (small) waterproof mat while having lap time with Tigger, but she always finds ways to pee on everything except the blanket. This will change my life. (And my couch lol)

I was just talking to my best friend and she suggested critter quilts ! I love it.

I'm working on the second one right now, then I'll post pictures and show you all! I'm so proud of them. I came up with the patterns myself too.
