Chirping Guinea pig

I was looking at guinea pig clips on youtube and saw one of a guinea pig chirping. I thought I'd share for those here who have never heard this rare guinea pig noise:

Oh, my goodness! Sapphire did that a couple nights ago! Not as long as the video, though. I wondered if it was chirping, but didn't know as I'd never heard it.

She did it the day after our birds came ~ coincidence? (The birds owner passed away, and we were asked to care for them)

Thank you for the link! I was pretty sure Oda had been chirping, but I wasn't 100% positive it was the sound people were referring to--it is! It's so neat to know I've heard it.
Does anyone know what it means? When Oda did it, it was immediately after a bunch of stuff had fallen off of my desk and crashed to the ground, so perhaps it's related to being startled, a warning sound to the others in the herd?

Morgana chirped once. Dad was installing the ceiling fan in the animal room, and she started singing. I think she approved of their room getting a fan before their mommy's did.

So, when we're chasing what we think are crickets, around the kitchen going "Where is that COMING from?!" it's really one of the pigs playing mind games. I see how it is. HAha.lol That is awesome.

Aw that's cute I don't think i've ever heard my gps chirp, what makes them chirp? Boredom?

I had never in my years of raising pigs heard that sound until about a month ago. It was only 2 chirps but very loud. I had a feeling what it was but now I know for sure

My piggy chirped about a month ago. Out of all the piggies I have she's the only one I have heard chirp.
Kind of strange that we got a chirper after we had a piggy die in the group that was also a chirper.
