Bonding Introducing two boars, how long does it take?

Hi. Yesterday, we have put together our two boars (Older about 5 months old and younger about 3 months old - I think). We gave them a bath first and then put them in neutral new cage. They are still chasing each other but they didn't have any serious fights. At first larger and older one showed more dominance, but now younger and smaller one seems like he's chasing the older one. There is not much relaxing going on as they usually do. Also they are still mounting each other, sniffing butts and noses. They have been now together for some 15 hours. Should I still leave them together although they are chasing each other all the time? And how long can this last? I feel little bit bad specially because older one who is trying to relax more, but can't since younger one is bothering him all the time when he does. Do you think they can eventually get a long?

Absolutely leave them together. It's very stressful to them to be repeatedly introduced and separated. They'll eventually work out the dominance, but it'll take a while, and they'll be humping each other pretty much non-stop for the next year or so.

Are you absolutely positive they're both males?

And how large is your cage? Boars need a LOT of room.

Yes, they are both males. For now they have 3x4 (grids) cage. We are planning to add upper level in few weeks. It is little stressful watching them being like that and fighting, and not being happy little piggies as they were when they were separated.

Chasing and mounting are NOT fighting. It's perfectly normal, and they'll settle down eventually. You just happen to have two adolescent boars, and there's nothing to be done but to suffer through it unless they do start actually fighting.
