Hi Everyone, My 6 month old guinea pig Fudge is pregnant - was accidental, one of our male guinea pigs somehow got into the females cage!! And as luck would have it within the 1 hour or so he was in there, he managed to impregnate one of the girls 
She has 3 pups in her waiting to get out and she is now at this current time fully dilated (pelvic bones are more than 2 finger widths apart)
Earlier this evening she was making some strange noises and I had though it was about to happen, it lasted about an hour with some panting movements but no contractions as yet.
Does anyone know approximately how long after she is fully dilated she should give birth? It has been about 24 hours now. She isn't showing any signs of discomfort or pain and is still happily eating her grass and pellets.
I have a background in Veterinary Science, and I have in fact studied small animal reproduction, however it's a bit different when it's happening to you first hand!
