Puberty Splinter is FINALLY Getting Neutered - Splinter's Thread

I was going to ask how he reaches both the pedals and the steering wheel with his short little piggie body, lol. But then I was thinking maybe he stole Barbie's convertible or something. I'm really glad he's doing well too!

I think Splinter is tired of being in the small pet store cage because when I pet him through the cage or give him hay or food or something, he pokes like half his body out of it and would just jump out of I didn't stop him. LOL.

Lol. Yeah he likes to explore first then he settles down when it comes to lap time which I'm going to start tomorrow when he gets his last bought of meds

I have Splinter his last Metacam today so I decided I'd pick him up since he hasn't had any issues since his surgery! I think he's really enjoying lap time.

What a cutiepie.

I think he's ready for driving now, lol. He looks great!

Hey guys, I was just wondering if now that Splinter is done with his meds, he's out of the woods for any dangers associated with his surgery?

You still need to check him for abscesses, I'm pretty sure.

I've been checking his incision and all OK there but I've also read something that you should feel around the area for lumps and so I just did......I don't know any other way to say this without being explicit but I touched his ball sack and on the left side there is a small lump. Actually his sack doesn't look add deflated as I thought they would have.... Don't they take his testicles out? His incision looks clean, isn't red, doesn't put off any kind of odor and really the whole area looks great, plus Splinter is is active and eating and drinking and is acting normal.

Is the lump normal and I am just freaking myself out or something to be worried about? I'm calling the vet in the morning to ask bit I thought I'd ask here to top get some opinions.

Sorry, I don't know anything about post neuter lumps. Definitely your doing the right thing calling the vet.

Just called the vet and had a pretty hilarious convo with the tech that helped with Splinters neuter. She said the little lump was normal. She said because they don't any kind of "lift" with the extra skin that it takes a little bit for the skin to go back and that his testicles were deff out because she saw them come out, LOL! All is well!

Splinter and the girls did well coming from Alabama to New York! I placed them all in a neutral area and everything was OK! Splinter tried to show dominance and mount the girls but Madea quickly let him know that kind of behavior was not allowed, LOL! She pulled a little fur out but he quickly learned that mounting wasn't going to happen, LOL. The girls are fine with him unless he tries to be fresh. Madea is definitely alpha though, LOL.
