I have a 3X4 with a 2X3X1 loft for my one Guinea Pig. It has been a while since he has had a friend to play with so I'm looking to adopt another pig. If i used the loft as a quarantine cage, would it be large enough? Also, would they be two close together if I I kept the loft attached or should I separate it and move it to another room? Thanks in advance.

I would think that 2X3 is fine for one piggie for that short amount of time (3 weeks). I think that URIs can be airborne, another room is the better choice. Hope that you find another little buddy soon and that all goes well.

Quarantine needs to be in a seperate room, with the doors closed. Even a pet store cage is fine for a quarantine cage, or you can use the loft (2x3 is fine for one pig), but seperate it first.

OK. Thanks for your help.
