Hi,
Actually, my mom has a pig.
it was my daughters, but when she moved, she couldn't take Bella with her, so my mom adopted her.

She seems to be a very strange pig.
she is a very picky eater, and now has constipation.
any help would be great.

In the meantime,
My name is Tammy. We live in NE PA
I am owned by several greyhounds, doxies and bostons.
we do foster and SPCA pulls
we have owned piggies, hamsters, mice etc.
we also own several cats.
We also have two lion face/lop ear bunnies.
My oldest daughter has always owned piggies throughout the years, but this last one was not allowed to go with her.
That is why my mom adopted her.
Anyway, Since my mom does not do computer at all, I am her go between.
This looks like a great site, and I am hoping to learn all I can about piggies and how to help Bella.

Welcome to GPC!

P.S. My piggie's name is Bella too!:D

Hi welcome to GPC! It seems almost everyone on here has the same named guinea pigs as me. When you say piggies do you mean guinea pigs or the kind that goes oink oink?

Well, when you have 32 it's not hard to find people who have pigs with the same name.

And you are you asking if they have pigs that oink or wheek?

Yeah I assumed that. She said
we have owned piggies, hamsters, mice etc.
I want to know if those piggies go oink oink or WHEEEEEEK!

I'm pretty sure she means WHEEK!, not oink.

Okay guys that disscussion was a little bit...er....difffernt! LOL

Welcome to GPC! If you think you guinea pig is constipated you need to get her to a vet ASAP. It's a sure sign of a bloat or she's not eating.

BLOAT
If your guinea pig appears swollen and the stomach appears distended (a light tap on the side sounds hollow), see a vet immediately. Your guinea pig may have an intestinal blockage (torsion) and/or a dangerous build-up of gas. This condition can be fatal if left untreated.

Ditto the above. You should see a good cavy vet asap.

If there is no blockage, you need to start handfeeding her.

all the pigs owned go wheek! lol
we just to her to the vet. her teeth needed a trim bad
and she is anemic.
very bad
so the vet wants my mom to give her geritol once a day.
