I have extrememly limited space in my room for my two piggies, and obviously one store bought cage is too small for them, but I have no real way of moving any furniture or anything around to fit a CC cage comfortably, but I am planning on taking the sliding door off my closet, which creates a perfect alcove for the piggies. I know closets are no places for piggies, but Im permanetly removing the door, the piggies would the only thing in there, and my only window is straight across the room, so they will have natural light for 80% of the day. What do you guys think of this idea?

In my opinion it sounds good! Just make sure you have enough room and all of the other essentials and hey if you can fit the cage there and are permantly removing the door than I think that sounds nice. Good Luck!

Sounds brilliant but like percy's mum said, tell us how big the alcove is going to be. Do you think it will fit at least a 2x3?

It sounds big enough. Maybe this is a stupid question but are you going to keep your clothes hanging in the closet and the pigs on the floor? I only ask becasue it could pose a problem if things fell into the cage accidentaly and the pigs chewed on it or your clothes could end up smelling like a guinea pig cage.

Wow, that's big. I bet it is going to look really great. I think it is a fabulous idea, it will look like a shrine to your GPs. After all, you do serve their bidding. You should decorate it like a shrine and have little guinea pig crosses and symbols and statues and everything. Wow, I wish I had a built in wardrobe to turn into a guinea pig shrine.

By the way, where are you putting your clothes????

I have a wooden divider between the closet, so all my clothes are going on the other side, so absolutely nothing is within thier reach :cheerful: I like the shrine idea :cheerful:

Well the cage itself is finished, but I measured the cage to be the exact size of the space I will be putting it in...so I have to cut about 2 inches off the end now. Pics should be up tonight :cheerful:

Wow, the second level looks very comfy! Also, I love the artistic decoration on the wall behind.

I wanted it up off the ground just so I could fit lots and lots of pigie toys. Last night, while I was sitting there sewing the fleece for the ramp/second story, Yogi and Boo-Boo came out of thier pigloo and were watching me and were making a purring sound! It was so cute, like they were saying thank you
