Joy I got to meet some baby piggies!

My friend is a student teacher at a local kindergarten and their class pet guinea pig gave birth this past week. Now I'm not condoning keeping piggies as class pets, or endorsing backyard breeding but I dropped by her class to sex the babies for her and give some advice on nutrition and when to separate the boys.

That disclaimer aside, day old baby pigs have to be the cutest things I have ever seen in my life. They're fluffy littler tater-tots made of love so I thought I'd share some pics of the bebes with you all!

Were you able to confidently sex them?

It was nice of you to go in and sex them and offer advice, I'm sure the last thing the kindergarten needs is another accidental pregnancy. You are right though, they are quite cute.

Yes, I've sexed my own piggies before and of the newborns two were female and had the typical "Y" and the smallest one was a little boy with a sort of semicolon ";" or at least thats how I think of it when sexing

Thats good to hear, sometimes they can look a little ambiguous at 1 week old.
