Odd question

I was just wondering if everyone else's piggys pooped a lot? When Charlie has floor time he pops out about 20 little brown logs in less than five minutes. Is that normal? I'm sorry I seem looney for asking this. I don't know if it is because he is nervous,excited, or what. When he sits with me he will make squeaking noises as he is going #2, i know he's not in pain because he doesn't make the noises when he goes in his cage. I give him a cup of veggies a day including romaine lettuce and red leaf lettuce and he gets a baby carrot, I don't know what makes him go so much.

Pigs poop a lot. They take in a lot of fiber from hay and some from pellets, and it all has to come out. They've evolved to take in a lot of low-quality food (i.e. grass/hay) and process it, but to get enough nutrients from that low-quality food they have to eat enormous quantities. Since it's mostly fiber, it has to be pushed out.

I have a pooper, out of my 3 girls, one poops non stop, the others well, just a lot. In the time that Boots makes about 20 droppings, the other girls are on their 5th. I think some pigs just eat more hay then others, and maybe tht is what does it. the good ol' "what goes in, must come out" rule!

I cant keep up with cage cleanings and my crew some days... thank God for shop vacs... :crazy: of cource, 10 minutes later, you would ask if I ever cleaned the cage.

Not even 20 minutes after I have completely cleaned the cage it looks like the Easter Guinea has visited and hidden his entire supply of eggs around the cage!

This so funny.. My piggies well especially Capu; whenever I finish cleaning their cage after 20 minutes it looks the same way how it was before.:crazy:

I do like my garden, so I scatter it around - free fertilizer! The rest I compost (except am running out of room)!

Don't even get me started on Eddie. That little bugger will make 20+ beans in about 10 minutes on your lap. And in floor time, Trixie is more than happy to eat them up.:yuck:
