Mites New Guinea Pig Fiver has mites, what to do?

I know I've said I don't want to use Olive Oil, but I guess it couldn't hurt. It's just Olive Oil, right? So is it the same with the Tea Tree? Just rub it on, not of his head, or course, then wash it off after five minutes?
I'm still talking to mom about whether we can go to Portland or not.

WOO-HOO!
We sprayed him with some spray that's sopposed to get rid of lice and mites and all. We just kinda made him wet with it like it said and in less than a minute, they were all at the top of his fur, dead! We put him together with Wiggles and they're already really good buddies!!! I'm so happy and so are they! YAY!
