I wanted to grow some grass outside (maybe in a litter box) for my cavy. I don't like to bring him outside because of hawks and mosquitos, so I wanted to be able to bring it in and let him forage around. Let him have fun with it. Any suggestions?

You can get wheat grass seed very cheaply at a health food store, ditto potting soil at a hardware or garden store.

Just start the pigs on very small amounts of fresh grass and let them work up to more. Too much at once can give them terrible digestive upsets.

What do you know. I went to the store today and bought two pots of wheat grass. One for the kitties and one for the piggies. XD

I'm thinking that I'll just snip some off at first until I know they're OK with it. Not sure if I want to put the pot in with them though.

Snipping is better.

But just FYI, you can grow it LOTS cheaper than you can buy those pots.
