Hello!

My pigs currently have access to guineadad timothy hay which is compressed in a cardboard box and they pick it out. I also provide handfulls of orchard grass hay in a large litter box they all share, but they seem to eat the orchard grass most of the time. Is it okay if they only eat Orchard grass?

I have recently switch my boys to nothing BUT orchard grass. Its fine for them. Many pigs only get orchard grass due to their human parents allergy to timothy hay. It's nutritionally similar and just as abrasive to wear their teeth down properly.

I switched them for a different reason, but that was my choice.

I did the same, switched to orchard grass and a little meadow grass. I mentioned it to my vet and she said it was fine.

Any long strand (which does NOT mean it has a long stem) grass hay is fine -- timothy, brome, and the three grasses (meadow, hay and orchard).
