While I was filling water bottles today my big boy Gus tried to face mount my other boy Henry. Henry ended up getting poked in the eye. I am keeping a close eye on it. What should I look for in case it was injured? This also made me wonder, if he were to get boar glue into his eyr, would rinsing get it out?

If you haven't already I suggest reviewing the guinealynx info on eyes, so can know what to look for with a possible eye injury: https://www.guinealynx.info/eyes.html

I don't know the answer to your boar glue question, hopefully that scenario won't happen.

If he is holding his eye shut, he should go to a vet.

I have read EVERYTHING on guinea lynx lol. Hes not squinty or anything. His eye watered a little after but is fine now. I know boar glue is a nightmare to get out of my fleece and fur ao im hoping it never ends up in his eye

Boar glue isn't likely to stick to his eyeball, but it could certainly stick to any skin or hair around it. But if it's any consolation to you, I've never heard of one that's had it stuck to an eye. Nose? Yes. Mouth? Yes. Eye? No.

Lol I was more concerned with how thick it is. It would certainly coat the eye. So im hoping some saline eye rinse would get it out? I hope it jever happens but that seems to be Gus' favorite pass time since my femalr is in heat.

Well, I don't think it'll stick to anything as wet as an eyeball. But it'll stick to anything else, including the eyelid and the hair on the face.
