Coroplast 2x6 Base from GPCs store

I'd like to know if the base is 2 sheets or is the store somehow able to have it as 1 complete sheet? If it is 2 sheets, how are they secured together or is it totally up to the buyer of the base as to how it is secured?

It's one sheet. We do have to do two folds to ship it, but that doesn't affect anything. 2x6 grids is the longest you can get out of one sheet of 4 foot by 8 foot Coroplast. That's why we pretty much stop at that size.

@MrWhistles the base is one sheet that they score in the middle and fold. I have bought lots of bases from them as I am not good with coroplast. They ship super fast too!

Same here! I'm hoping to get a new base one of these days. I've changed my cage on average of once every 3 months for the last 5 years. This is the first time it has stayed a 2x6 one level for over 6 months now. So my coro I got almost 2 years ago is riddled with holes, cuts, tape and adhesive and pieces... Time to get new, but I had to order pellets this month and get presents for christmas so maybe in Feb or March...

I have another question; is it possible to make one of the sides(left side) 14" tall? I don't mind if the other sides have to be smaller to make up for the taller side.

@MrWhistles they do custom orders. I think they could do that as they do one side 12" with the other side 6" as one of the options so it stands to reason they could do a 14" side and a 4" side. I actually just received a custom order from them and it was perfect! I would suggest you just email Sue with any questions. She is awesome!

I think they base it on the size of the coroplast they need to use. She will give you a quote. I think if you want a 2x6 just with different sized sides, it will be the same as just a regular order but I am not sure as mine was a complete custom for a specific size base that isn't a regular size.

It would be the same price. Just order the 12" back and put a note in your order for me to make the back 14" high instead of 12".

No, not at all.

You just need some clear packing tape to tape the corners together and not really much of that. That's what I use anyway. Works great, lasts a lifetime.
