Like Deb said, female guinea pigs don't need to be spayed. If she were ever cagemates with a boy, have him neutered. It is a much easier, and less expensive, procedure than the other.

Yes, I made the mistake of getting them at Target. I bought the Closetmaid brand. I didn't even pay attention until part of the cage was together, then I found out the other grids had a much larger spacing... It wasn't a huge deal though, because I could use them for the storage area underneath...

This cage is so awesome! I was wondering, do you use towels under the fleece like with guinea pigs? Also, does it take a long time to clean... Do you have to clean all the hammocks and stuff each week, or do you clean them once a month or something? I've never been able to get my ratties litter...
