Media Guys with guinea pigs?

I don't exactly know where to put this so if this thread is in the wrong spot feel free to move it. I was just wondering if there's any other guys (besides me..) with guinea pigs. I know there's a couple guys on the forum but barley any. And also how do you guys feel about being apart of something that's mostly involves girls. I don't think it's a problem although it does get kinda annoying when 99% of fleece stuff on etsy have hearts everywhere and pink polka dots... I also for some reason get some strange looks when people hear I have guinea pigs (I know its a tad strange). Anyways If you guys could make yourself known on this thread, that would be pretty cool.

My boyfriend, who isn't a member of this forum, has pigs at his place.

He has very many Florida State colored/patterened fleece for his boys.

I don't think having guinea pigs is girly. My husband won't feed them or clean up after them, but he sure will hold them!

I bet you could contact other shop owners to see what other fleece they have. In my experience most will do custom orders.

i dont think it is strange and if you search youtube theres a bunch of guys with guinea pigs. My fiance had never had one so he was interested when i mentioned i wanted to get a pair. He likes them a lot too. other than hes afraid of them biting him lol i dont know why.

As for male guinea pig lovers, my husband has grown incredibly fond of ours. He was in the hospital for a week and demanded I hook up skype on my phone so he could check up on them. He's a 28 year old man, too.

My husband strongly disliked rodents before I insisted we get guinea pigs, but they immediately suckered him in. He cried along with me when our first guinea pig, Mufasa, died, and he spoils the girls rotten with veggie treats. You should see him selecting the best veggies and lettuce mix bags for them in the grocery store. He even cleans their cages if I'm too busy, so he's pretty much a thorough male piggy slave. Don't tell him I told you, tho'. ; )

My husband is the reason we have piggies in the first place. Mr. No more pets fell in love with our first at an adoption event and our pig obsession exploded from there lol. We have several fleece things with camo, skulls, etc. on them. We got the sacks from etsy.

My older brother (he's 20) doesn't have guinea pigs but he does have a seem to have a soft spot for one of my girlies. He likes to hold her when watching TV (they are in the TV room at the moment) and feeds her veggies. Or if he is in the room eating something he will ask if they can have some of it. It's pretty funny, I never thought he had any interest in them, I went in his room and said he would have to keep Micah (our lab) out of the TV room for a little while as I was going to have the piggies out, he asked me what I meant, and I told him they would be having floor time for a little while, he jumped up and said "I want to hold them!". I am slowly turning everyone in the house into a cavy slave

I am a dad and our three young ones each have a cavy. Our two eldest boys and young daughter all split the responsibilities of their daily care, ages 9-13. My wife has hardly anything to do with them. Although we did finally get her to sew us some pads for their newest 4 story 2x5. TY! So I have to say yeah, we do like em too and maybe we just don't go online to talk about it as much as the gals do. But isn't that how it is with us guys? we don't talk about our feelings and such! lol!

My dad is so sweet with guinea pigs. He's pretty allergic to them but still loves them to death. Every night, I can hear him downstairs talking to her and giving her veggies. It's so adorable.

When I got my first pig, my dad didn't know that she was even coming. I was 10 at the time and now see how STUPID that was, but I got lucky and he loved her! She was a single pig for about 2 months and my dad was the first one to hold her and give her a bath and even clip her nails! Daddy piggie love is definately special.
