My piggy has a scaly looking patch on her nose. She is currently on doxycycline (tomorrow marks 2 weeks) she is still sneezing but no drainage or eyes crusting. I just noticed that she has a patch of rough looking skin on her nose.
The exotic vet near me only works Wed and Thursday, so I would have to see a general vet if I went somewhere tomorrow. I would also prefer not to put her through another vet visit since we just got her two weeks ago and she is still adjusting to her new environment.

One thought based on location: could it be an injury from chewing on cage bars? I have seen her do that a time or two.

Looks like the start of a fungal infection to me. Go to a pharmacy and get some Lotrimin. Apply a tiny bit with a q-tip twice a day, rubbing it in well. Wash your hands thoroughly afterward, as fungus is contagious.

It should start to clear up in a few days, but keep applying the Lotrimin until the hair is growing back. It's stubborn stuff to get rid of.
