Burberry! - Guinea Pig Cages

Made it with plywood since C&C is VERY hard to find here. The bedding is 3 layers of fleece, and the 2nd level is the petstore cage we bought (when we didn't know any better) turned upside down. The bottom of the cage (being metal) we covered with another plank of plywood and a layer of carpet

Its a nice cage and all but not to be rude that does not look like 11 sq feet and a 5 sq ft top according to what you entered, "Cage Size: 11 sq ft (bottom), 5 sq ft (top)". It looks small actually but much better then a store bought cage.

Trust me it IS about 11sq foot - 45 x 36 inches & 10 inches high in fact. It may look small in the photo - but our guinea pigs never fight and are happily running laps round the cage. As for the top, it's 32 x 22 inches. If my calculations are correct - that should be 11sq and 5 sq

Very nice, the painting is very pretty. You might want to switch to two layers of towels, and then a layer of fleece though. The fleece is supposed to be on top of the towels so that the top stays dry and the pee gets soaked into the towels
