I cannot tell if my guinea pig is a boy or a girl. My other guinea pig is obviously a girl but my new one looks like it could go either way. I adopted her from another family and they were told she is a girl but I want to double check. I have looked at the following webpage: https://www.cavyspirit.com/sexing.htm and compared the guinea pig to the pictures but it is still not obvious to me. I am waiting to introduce my two pigs until I know for sure that they are both girls. I took a picture and would like to show someone who can help me determine the sex but I am not sure that it's appropriate to post the picture on here?

See the little nub? Gently push on the area right above it (that would be just to the left in the photo) and see if a penis pops out of the nub.

I'm 99% sure 'it's' a boy.

Wow! Thanks for the help everyone!
I can't believe I thought he was a girl this whole time- looks like he'll need a new name! Do you think he is neutered? It does not look like he has testicles.
Can I still keep him with my female? He is so sweet and I really don't want my guinea pigs to live alone but I do not have the space to adopt more so they each have a friend of the the same sex.

If he's not fixed you'll have to get him neutered.

No, they can't live together unless you have one or the other neutered. You'll be lucky if your female isn't already pregnant -- they can reproduce at about 4 weeks of age for males and 5 weeks for females. Pregnancy and birth is very hard on sows, and the world certainly doesn't need more deliberately-bred guinea pigs.

Definitely do not introduce them. You will either have to get him neutered when he is old enough, or cage them separately.

They have always been in separate enclosures because the male is new.
