Conditions Cleaning ears

How do you guys clean your piggies ears, if at all? What do you use? The girls get black wax type stuff in their ears so I wiped them out. Clarabell is super sensitive to her ears being touched

To clean a guinea pig's ears, use cotton swabs (q-tips), and just clean the outer ear. Use a dab of mineral oil if you want to clean the ears. Using a product like Oticlens is also recommended.

I have never had to clean my pigs ears, I check them frequently but there is never a need to clean them. Does the wax you are pulling out have an odd smell to it?

Yep I used mineral oil and a q tip and was pulling some black wax type stuff out And no funky smell to them at all.

I have used a soft cloth and wiped the inside of their ears, but I don't know if that is necessarily the correct way.
