Thanks! Mufasa was my first piggy, but I got him from a pet store and he came with a URI and died after only a couple of weeks. I have two adopted girls now, Quinn and Amy. Amy was a Craigslist piggy. A couple of tips: search pig and pigs, but don't use the word guinea because people misspell it a lot. Also, search both community/pets and for sale because those are the two categories with the most piggy listings.

Ain't that the truth, you'd be surprised at the creative ways people spell "guinea"

I did a search and all I come up with were one person selling some glorified litterbox cages. Sad, but I bet there are a ton more other local things I will purchase lol.

Another option, if you find one that's far away (maybe the one you mentioned at 150 miles), if you post here on the forum, there have been "piggy trains" formed by members here along the way to get a pig from one location to another.

Something else to look into, some rescues will offer to drive halfway or bring the animal to you.

I was part of a two person piggy train to bring the pig in my avatar upstate. Another definition of "piggy train" is when multiple pigs will follow each other around, practically nose to rump.
