Cage Let's see your cage Pictures please.

Here is mine for my 2 girls. I want to give them more space, but I don't have the room space to do so. Soon enough though, I'm going to add an upper level for them :)

Please be careful with that log. If it the one I am thinking of it is full of sugar and the guinea pigs may eat too much of it and have health issues like diabetes. It is a great space for your girls!

Thanks for the heads up! Its called a snack shack I believe. It came with them when I got them. But honestly they maybe only have chewed it like once or twice since I've had them. I've just kept it in as decoration haha. But I will more than likely end up removing it soon now, just to be safe. Don't want my girls getting sick.

I've been getting ideas from here a lot and I thought it might be time for me to share. I have 3 girls and a neutered male. When I started I made a 2x3 then quickly upgraded to a 2x4 then moving some furniture around I was able to switch to a 2x5 between the wall and sofa. Now by moving in another direction, they have a 2x7 which I absolutely love. They love it since there's room for eating, sleeping, drinking and running around all without bumping into each other.

Just finished up my cage and stand. I am new to the world of guinea pigs, and this will be the home to 3 baby male skinny pigs in a few short weeks. I'd appreciate your thoughts ....Let's see your cage Pictures please.Let's see your cage Pictures please.Let's see your cage Pictures please.Let's see your cage Pictures please.Let's see your cage Pictures please.

Ignore the mess and mismatched fleece, yesterday was laundry day so they got what was left over and still clean until I can wash the rest - lol! Just a simple 2x4 until we move next month. I bought the extra grids to make it 3 by 5 but we don't quite have the room yet Let's see your cage Pictures please.

Just finished new digs for our rescue piggies. Old digs there on the floor for comparison. We'll clean that up and save it for a travel cage. New digs feature washable fleece flooring atop absorbant material, a separate dining area with built-in hay feeder, ground-level storage, a grass hideaway, and a variety of chew toys. The dining area includes a removable tray for easy cleaning. A second tray is available to switch with the dirty one. I plan to add a "fleece forest" in the back corner and some cozy fleece beds soon.

Hey guys! We are sooooo excited about our huge custom built 9' x 4' cat-proof & dog-proof wooden cage. It took us like 5 weekends but we have 5 piggies and they couldn't be happier. The cage was pretty affordable and made with mostly 2x2s, 4x4s, and mesh. Check it out below!

Michelle......you are right.....that cage is insane! What a great cavy family you have assembled.

The cage is an architectural wonder with all its doors and different areas. But, it looks like a nightmare to clean! :eek:hmy: Let's hope that no one in your home has a bad back.

Why not start a thread and introduce yourself and your piggy family? I'm certain that you could contribute to some lively discussions. Welcome!

Just did a cage cleaning tonight so I thought I'd share my cage setup :) I plan on upgrading the cage a little bit once I move back into my apartment in September for school!

Here is where my boys live.

I have the cage sitting on top of industrial plastic shelf units, so I don?t currently have coroplast under the fleece. It doesn?t seem to matter. I like changing the fleece every 2-3 days so the room doesn?t smell. My husband isn?t a big pig fan (less so since I talked him into getting Ginger and he has learned how much a ?free adoption? really costs, lol!), and keeping the smell away helps him remember they are so stinking cute.

I've already posted here before but I'm posting again since I upgraded my cage a bunch! I expanded to a 3x6 CC. I really love having 3 grids across, it makes the cage look so huge. My partner is going to a sign shop next week to get some more coroplast so he can make a 2x3 loft... and he claims that he doesn't even like guinea pigs. I'm super proud of the fleece forest~

This is Lacey’s playpen arrangement for today. Fleece forest tunnel in the back with a pillow to run behind. The green hidey is a favorite and is actually an overturned stacking bin from Dollar Tree. It has two exits and is light enough to be dragged around when she hunches her shoulders. The white wiffle ball contains green pepper pieces and the colored cat ball is great to weave strips of corn husk around.

I just picked up these 2 boys this week and put together this 2x5 cage for them (they were in a 2x3 with the previous owners). The white grids are temporary until my new ones arrive later this week!
