Is that cage a 6x6 or 6x7 with the 1x2 area? Wow that is huge, If you used fleece and uhaul pads it would be cheaper and less messy then the the bedding you are using now, and healthier for the guinea pigs.
Awesome cage.

It's 6x8 with the 1x2 area. I've tried fleece and don't like it. Too much cleaning and too messy for the wash machine.

Awesome cage and we all know fleece isn't for everyone.

Very nice! It's always a pleasure to look at an attractive and well-constructed cage. Your girls have good taste!

This isn't that big but its what i got with my piggy

That cage is not nearly large enough for even one cavy........especially an adult! :eek:hmy: It's about the right size for one small hamster.

How did you get your fleece to wrap around the cage like that? My fleece just sits at the bottom

Look at the loft and it should be pretty obvious. She probably isn't using sewn liners and is simply using a piece of fleece that is large enough to cover the bottom plus overlap the sides. You can secure the fleece on the edges of the coro with binder clips or by tucking it in around the edges and bottom. Occasionally, people are industrious and make a sewn liner for the bottom and then sew a separate piece to cover the sides........but that seems like a lot of work and creativity.

I just upgraded my cage and am so happy with it!!

I have 3 piggies. Two of them are around 3 years old and the third one is 4 years old, names are Albus, Grimm, and Rubeus. They used to have C&C cages, but I just recently converted my spare bedroom into a gpig room! lol I put a large tarp over the floor and baseboards, with foam mats on top of that, and then put blankets over the mats and puppy pads in high traffic areas and underneath hideouts.

This is awesome! When we eventually move to a bigger place, I plan to do something similar for my girls XD

Here is mine for my 2 girls. I want to give them more space, but I don't have the room space to do so. Soon enough though, I'm going to add an upper level for them :)

There came a point late last night when I was sitting *inside* the cage that I though this project might have gotten a bit carried away...

Regardless, here it is... a piggy palace!

2x8 grid base, a 2x2 loft and an L-shaped 2x4x3 loft, as well as two 1x2 feeding lofts. There's also a built in tube run and a balcony. Additionally, I've upped the safety features, adding more support bars and internal grids so that the pigs cannot possibly fall anywhere. There's also an under-croft for storing pig supplies.

Cleaning is only marginally harder, the cage must now be pulled away from the wall to clean the biggest loft fully, and also to slide out the bottom layer.

Never again!
What a fantastic home you've given them. They are lucky to have you.
