Quarantine Rosie's human is sick

Hello guys, I am not feeling too well. Should I quarantine from Rosie? I WOULD like to cuddle with her but if she might accidently catch whatever virus I have then I won't. I appreciate your help!

First of all, I hope you get better! Did you test yourself for coronavirus? Also, I don’t think that you can transmit diseases to guinea pigs but it really depends on the disease.

Thank you! I had coronavirus before so I am immune to it. I just don't feel so great though.

I have been ill before, and not made my pigs sick. That said, I make sure to handle them or their food as little as possible until I am well, and I wash my hands before AND after handling them or their food just in case. Every little bit helps.


Pigs CAN catch coronavirus as well.

Before I got Rosie, I was reading a book about guinea pigs and they said that piggies can catch the common cold.

I just looked it up online, and it's true. Guinea pigs can get colds from humans. So maybe you should wash your hands and just touch her minimally.

Yeah, I just feed her some of her daily veggies and that was all.
