Hello fellow pet parents of the inter webs!

We have recently acquired a genuine herd (7) of female guineas ranging in ages from a blue haired beauty to some spunky juveniles. They came to us via Craigslist having lived their entire lives in inadequate housing with improper care (I’m not a cavy expert by any means but through our experience and research into these amazing little creatures I am horrified by how most people are simply misinformed about their general care)
We have since dedicated a spare bedroom for them to have free roam of all day with exploring time in the adjoining hallway/tower room 2x a day. We are moving into a much larger home in the country in the spring and hoping with a little luck and some paperwork we can become a full fledged Guinea pig rescue/advocate.
We want the average person who has never owned a guinea pig to know they need just as much care as their larger canine or feline counterparts.
We want people who go into pet stores to know just how terrible that little glass aquarium they have cavies displayed in are despicable and that casual breeding needs to stop.
