Sexing Guinea Pig Sexing, boy or girl?

Hi everyone,

New GP owner here, only had my two for about 3 days so far. Bought two 3 month old GPs from local chain petstore. I was told they were both boys from the same clutch. I have tried taking a look to see if they are indeed boys, but I'm doubtful at this stage. Please see the attached photos and offer your opinions. If needs be I will take them to a vet and find out for sure. I don't think I need to separate them as they both appear to the same sex, I'm just unsure which sex that is!

Welcome! And warmest congratulations for turning them both over and comparing. We very often see people who've had guinea pigs for weeks, discovered one was pregnant, and wonder if they've got a male but have never compared the undersides of the pigs.

Those both look like girls to me.

Thought as much. Their names are already set, brown one is Bear and the grey and white one is Rhino. Not exactly feminine names, but hey ho. I'll break the news to my son, although I doubt he'll mind much if at all
