Like the title asks, is 71 dollars a reasonable vet routine checkup for a pig? I live in nyc if that helps any.

Here just outside Toronto I'd be happy with that price, could be lower but still reasonable.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I got charged between $60-$70 for each visit I made back when my pigs had some health issues. Whether or not the price is reasonable is up for debate, but it certainly seems normal for an exotic vet visit.

My vet is fantastic. I also live in Ontario, and a straight up initial checkup is $56.00. If the vet schedules an appointment for a follow up, it's been $28.00 for that. My boar Sly has been going in a fair bit recently due to malocclusion issues, and he now goes in every 4 weeks for a tooth check. My vet has only charged me $10 for that checkup.

From what I understand my vet's prices are NOT the norm, and they are more than reasonable. I would expect $71 to be in the normal range.

I live near Wash D.C., checkups for my piggies start at $80 so that sounds like a good price to me.

The vet I see charges a little over $50 to see my pig, and each additional pig is an additional $50. I think that 70 seems reasonable. And I'm in TX so our prices are likely lower anyway lol. I called another place close to me to ask about pricing and they said it's $70-80 to take a pig in, I can't recall exactly.
