does anybody know what a normal amount of weight loss would be for the new babys the day after they are born?

15-25 grams, at a guess, for larger pups, and less for smaller ones. By the second day, they should have stabilized, and go up from there.

They're not "all over the place." That's less than 20 grams each. I wouldn't worry unless the loss continues beyond tomorrow.

Also be sure mom is feeding. I had to move my mom and baby to a small store bought cage. She was afraid of him and ran from him(he was kind of ugly). She was in a 2x6 and could get away from him. So I put them in there for a couple of days to realize that was her baby and she needed to feed him. All went well, she got the hang of being a mommy. He is 4 months old now and about 2.5 lbs!
Congrats and enjoy them, they are precious.

yeah I dont think she was feeding them very well at first every time they would get in the pigloo she would leave and they would just follow her around but I'm pretty sure i caught Waffles feeding Squeaks babies :s But Ive seen squeak feeding them since all this had happened but ill keep an eye out to make sure she still is

Oh my goodness, I think you need a bigger pigloo before someone gets squashed or into a fight. It is super cute though.
