Hey everyone! A couple days ago, I posted about how I am going to get a guinea pig named Beauregard. This is him. Unfortunately, he got adopted the day before I was going to get him. I was devastated! My "back-up" guinea pig was also adopted that day! I was very angry. We went to a different shelter just to find out that they only go to petsmart on the weekends, and were not currently there. Again, I was sad. But we traveled about one hour to get Benny! Sorry, these are not the best quality photos. The first one is me holding him in the shelter, and the second one is him about an hour or two ago!
He has been at the shelter for exactly a month and when the volunteers found out that I was adopting him, they all said "Benny is leaving? We all love Benny, take good care of him for us!" Apparently, someone found him a month ago roaming around the streets, and either someone lost him or got bored and released him into the wild. He is a beautiful peruvian guinea pig and although he is somewhat skittish, he is also very tame and is already taking vegetables out of my hand. He is beautiful!
Everything worked itself out! The shelter volunteers named him Benny so I just decided to keep the name since they were all so attached. I am so happy, and I am sure he is too because he will be one spoiled guinea pig, that's for sure!
