White mark on eye
Does anyone have any idea what this is??
sorry it?s not a great pic but it?s just a white line along the top of her eye. :/

The picture is not very clear, so it's hard to make a distinction.

It could be the beginning of osseous metaplasia. If so, there is no treatment. However, pigs also do fine with it. It doesn't hurt them. How old is your girl?

My baby boy Sly dealt with a pretty good case of it for most of his life. Never really fazed him at all.

Does it look similar to this? (broken link removed)

Thanks for the clearer picture.

That definitely looks like the beginning of osseous metaplasia. It will more than likely progress, as it seems like hers is starting right around the same time it did for Sly.

As I said, pigs don't even seem to notice they have it, and generally do very well. Sly's eyes progressed to a much more advanced state of it over his life, so be prepared for it to continue to creep in.

Rest easy, though. It doesn't hurt her at all.

Oh gosh i just googled it and it looks a bit scary! does it bulge out eventually??
Im very glad to hear it doesnt hurt her.
I hope it doesnt get any worse like your poor Slys

Sly DID become rather "bug eyed" as it progressed. It DOES look scary, I'll give you that.

Sly's progressed to this point in his right eye. This photo was taken a couple of months before he passed away.

It will likely progress in your girl as well. It won't hurt her, she will do just fine with it.
