Cage Let's see your cage Pictures please.

I LOVE your cage! It is so colorful and it looks like the pigs have tons of things to keep them busy! The flower stickers and Christmas ornament garland are adorable! May I ask, who resides in the tank above?

Thanks! Sorry for just replying to this now, I've been without the internet haha. A syrian hamster named Boo lives "upstairs" :) And below the piggies is another syrian hammie. We use exo terra tanks because of how large they are and because they have the front doors!

@SherwoodPigs - your cage is lovely. Where do you keep your pellets? I just set up a kitchen with coroplast, but this looks simpler. Also, how did you cut the plastic bin? It doesn't scratch the piggies?

Hi! Thank you! I keep their pellets in two dishes in their little kitchen area. I cut the litter pan with an exacto knife, and then I sanded it down so it was nice and smooth, and we haven't had any issues!

Here's a picture of my custom built cage (the "Pigsty" as my grandfather calls it):

That castle hidey is awesome!! Do you have a picture if it from the other way?? Xx

Now that Christmas is over, I thought I'd post a photo of Robin Hood and Little John's cage with everything they got from Guinea Santa xD
They are very pleased I think!

That is really cool! :) what's it made out of? Xx

It's made of plastic. It's a kids toy I had before I got the pigs and I figured they might enjoy it. They prefer fully enclosed spaces, like the boxes, but they occasionally sit in it. It's more for me than for them :p

planning on upgrading soon~

I felt like the hay holder I made was taking up too much space. So I found a coupla shirts hubby won't use and I made them useful! Nothing fancy, but it gives back that space the rack took up.

Lady was guarding the hay bag last night. So now the hay arrangement is 3 bent hay racks. It'll likely stay this way.

Hi I am new to the GP world. In fact my GPs will arrive only in 2 weeks. But I decided to build my own enclosure. I have yet add the fleece. I found a hardware store who was willing to cut all the wood pieces and the front plexiglass, from my measurements. This is what came out. Your comments are more then welcome. FYI my cost was SGD $120. Let's see your cage Pictures please.

It looks so cute! What are the measurements? Do you have a wall for the loft?

Hopefully my pic will load. 3rd try. Let's see your cage Pictures please.

The size of the enclosure is length 4 ft by depth 2 ft and height of 2 ft. I fingered I can expand after I get use to them. The GPs will arrive only in 2 wks. They are babies and are handled everyday so they will come tamed. Their names are Ping and Pong (Ping is with the pink nose) Let's see your cage Pictures please.

AWH! They're so cute!!! Love their names.

Sorry, I was on the mobile site, so I couldn't see the upstairs wall, I see it now that I am on my desktop. It somehow looks so small in the picture. It's about the length and width of my 75 gallon....maybe a little wider(don't remember the exact measurements). Either way, it's so freaking cute!

We just adopted two girl guinea pigs and are trying to learn about them quickly. A trip to bed, bath and beyond got us three boxes of 14" grid after determining that the grid holes were too large at Target. Our boxes were $19 each. We also got two boot trays from BB&B for $7.99 each that have been great - they are 28" by 14" and fit perfectly into a 1 by 2 grid section. We got four canvas storage boxes for under the cage.

We have a boot tray in the loft and in the kitchen area under the loft. We build a sturdy ramp up to the loft, but only one of the pigs will go up the ramp. The kitchen has been moved to the main floor, but they also seem to pee there (and poop everywhere). With a puppy pad on the boot tray, we just replace it each day. It is quite messy with the food and pee in the same area. Does anyone know if a corner litter box will work? With the boot trays, so far we do not seem to need the coroplast. I put cardboard over the grids, then a doubled shower curtain liner folded about four inches up the sides with binder clips holding the shower curtain and fleece onto the grids. The boot trays are over the fleece for the kitchen and loft. The cage is 2 by 4 grids with a 1 by 2 loft. A little more than 10 square feet.

I picked up a small dust pan and brush at Walmart for fleece cleaning (3 times a day at least - messier than we expected!). I also picked up a small puppy bed. The guinea pigs hang out in the living room on the puppy bed and don't try to escape. very sweet.
