Cage Boys cage on top of girls

Would it be ok to build a cage for a boy piggy on top of my girls cage it would have a lid. Would he go completely insane trying to get to the girls. I dont want to stress him out and if need be I can put him in another room.

I think in another room would be best. Why torment him with girl smells he can't have?

Can't you put them side by side? That way he'd at least know another guinea pig was in the house. But if you stack them, make very sure he can't climb out of his cage and fall into theirs.

I think it depends on how they react. I have mine in the same room in stacked cages and they do very well.
