Squint's ears feel pretty warm, as does his belly. is this normal? (right now he is sitting on a pillow on my lap)

Yeah, it's normal. They'll also change colors depending on how warm they are.

I've noticed my guinea pigs get hot ears before too. Before I joined this forum I looked it up and it seems that that is how they cool themselves down.

OK thanks :) I just wanted to make sure because of his bite- I wanted to be sure it wasn't a fever from an infection. Squint's ear has a pink stripe so I can tell when he's agitated by whether the vein is dark and raised :) (its very helpful)

If he has a fever, he'll likely be puffed up in a ball. But in case his ear temperature is an early warning sign, just keep an eye on him and how active he is.
