I've just built all new cages, I decided to stack them.
This has helped open up the piggy room!
Things are much neater and easier to move around.
The bottom 2by4 still needs coroplast, once I get it I will be making Rugbys cage nicer.

I think its funny that when you built your single cages I built stacking and when I just built a single 3x7 cage you built a stacking. Hehe

Looks nice! Hopefully you'll like it better...

I do love CC cages, I think I am a stickler when it comes to spending the money but when it comes right down to it ,, all the fuss I make on the ones I build my self of silly things I buy to make into something ,, well I always end up spending the same if not more on them. I love yours ,, its beautiful.. I like how easy you made it to reach in and get to everything.

Looks awesome! Is it easy to clean? It looks like it might be a little difficult.

Super easy, I am soooo glad I made them. I can fit perfect to clean perfect in the bottom cages.

That is awesome that you found something that works good for you. I was actually wanting to do this for my cage in the first place, but i couldn't because I needed a ramp to go to the bottom level and I have a dog and kids, so I couldn't have the bottom open like that. I like it so much better. Though I do like the storage area under my cage.

Great job though.

I love your cages. Are they sturdy and did you have to reinforce the bottom of the second levels at all? Depending where you live, does your window get drafty in the Winter? I like the names on the walls.

They are very sturdy, for the 3by5 I added that grid in the front so it wouldn't dip in the middle. I used connectors and cable ties under the bases of the second levels. I used TONS to hold the connectors in place and if one ever fell out, the grids are all so connected nothing would fall. (I don't think any connectors ever could, since they are wrapped in cable ties in every direction).
I put up the towels to make sure no draughts would get to the pigs from the window and from the floor vent. I will add more stuff in the winter, more layers.
The window is brand new, so it shouldn't be an issue. I know in the past I have rolled up towels anyways and layed them in the window just incase.

That's Barnaby? He's precious... that face is too cute. I answered a Craigslist ad for a free skinny a while back but it was a male so I didn't take him. Now I regret it after seeing your cutie.

That is Grover actually.
When I changed cages around, the names couldn't be moved as well, so now they aren't in the correct areas.
Here is Barnaby

They're all cute and look very healthy. You can definitely tell if they lose or gain weight without fur.
