That's what I'm thinking as well. Was pretty certain the top was a boy and kept thinking I was sure the bottom was a girl, but then I would compare to more pictures online and second guess myself LOL
It has been many years since I have been here, or have owned Guinea pigs.
Long story short, my teenage son acquired two "female" Guinea pigs earlier this year. Since that time I have placed my son in a drug rehab, and while hes been away I have discovered one GP is actually a Male and the...
I had to do a double take...was certain I'd seen that cage on this site before....

I am trying to figure out how the original poster of that pic was in Finland, and now someone is offering you the...
A couple of weeks ago I locked myself out of the office I manage on my way out to run an errand. I had a key to the back door so I thought I had saved myself some embarrassment....... Until I remembered, just as I twisted the back door knob, that I had also set the alarm system...
Our weather here is nothing short of miserable lately, so I can relate somewhat. Our temp has been 105 for 2 weeks now, 115 with humidity factored in. We are in a drought, everything is dead, burn bans are in place, and 7 people have died in Memphis in the last week alone from the heat. A...
***I came here to get down to earth suggestions about what to do. Not a broken recored of "find them a new home".***
People were responding to the options that you posted in your original post:
***and yes I have been keeping up with the GPs care, ......***
*** So before anyone jumps to...
I am not supposed to be on the list any more, I asked a while back to be removed. I have so much going on right now that I don't want Charlie to get here and get hung up here too long waiting on me to have free time to take him anywhere. With working 12 hours a day, soccer, one kid in school...
My sons name is Eli, and his face is usually stained with food too, it goes with the dirt he is usually coated in. ;-P
My PEW pigs have permanently orange stained faces, they really go all out with the bell peppers and carrots.
My shihtzu used to like to eat cow poop. Gave a whole new literal meaning to "*poop* eater". Cant use the real word there....
My pigs havent eaten anything weird I can think of, other than newspaper.
What would be easier is if you post the name of the pellets you are using so someone can look them up.... Then someone that is in your area might can recommend a better pellet for you, if the one you are using isn't suitable.
A lot of us use Oxbow, KM's, or Mazuri but that is in the US...
I have always given the cores minus the seeds as well. It is always devoured, but then again I have pigs that love apple branches and I can't imagine the cores are any harder than those. :)
You can chop up lettuces in a gallon bag, carrots in a sandwhich bag, peppers in a bag and so on. If you dry the veggies off, and place a paper towel in the bag with them to absorb extra moisture, they should keep just fine for a week. A lot of people do this in order to save time feeding...
No large pets of my own, but my inlaws have about 30 donkeys. They don't pay much attention to them at all, and they live in the pasture behind my house......so I have spent a ton of money on carrots, and apples taming them down. I can handle just about all of them, some of them stand and wait...
A lot depends on the temperament of the ferret. When Jacob was little I had a pair of ferrets. They were the most playful, loving animals ever. They were great with Jacob...loved to chase him and play hide-n-seek, and they loved to be cuddled with him just as much. They'd have just assumed...
My bunch doesn't seem to care much for bermuda. I am considering buying a bale while there is some locally that has been recently cut, and mixing it with my bluegrass to stretch it a bit longer.
The Trimeth-sulfa is Bactrim and is fine to use. I am not sure about the other med, so I'll leave that one to someone else.
I would have your vet check Nismo out for heart problems. The recurring gurgling congested sound is a symptom of having a heart condition, and would be best to diagnose...
I wouldn't label any of my pigs as climbers, but all 4 boars prefer the tops of their houses over being inside of them. I thought maybe it was because they don't like laying on the shavings, so when I cleaned the cage yesterday I placed double layered fleece under each hidey house...
Very cute piggies!
I *had* a black abby, but she passed away in March. She was the most people loving pig ever, broke my heart losing her.
